Like with Jesus Calling, I was wondering about how we can know these author’s words are led by God. Sarah Young wrote in her introduction that her book is not “inspired” by God like the Bible is, so I’m not sure exactly how she’s sharing Jesus’s wisdom.   Question: "Should we worship Jesus?" Answer: The answer to this question largely hinges on Jesus’ identity. If Jesus is regarded as deity in the same sense as His Father, then we should worship Jesus. If the New Testament documents identify Jesus with Yahweh, then we should worship Jesus.

The answer is we simply do not know why Jesus did not write any texts setting down His teachings, or give us any firsthand knowledge of His innermost thoughts. These questions, which have been a puzzle to people since the first century, have no real answer.   Question: "What happened during Jesus’ childhood?" Answer: Other than Luke –52, the Bible does not tell us anything about Jesus’ youth. From this incident we do know certain things about Jesus’ childhood. First, He was the son of parents* who were devout in their religious observances.

Going into reading this I heard Who is Jesus was somewhat of an elementary introduction about who Jesus is. I am glad to say I was proven wrong. The first few chapters may have felt like this, but very quickly we realize this is a book that a person who has been a Christian for twenty years could pick up and see Jesus in a new light/5(33).   Jesus is what matters. Without him the whole storyline of our salvation falls apart. God revealed the capacity of his grace through his Son. And we must come to Jesus. The world must come to know Jesus. He is truth and life! Read this book. It won’t take you too much time, but you will find it refocuses your attention back onto the person of.

We may not see the results every time, but here's to trusting that as we step out, we will see our Daddy's love shine through." -- Revival Magazine "People who put their faith in Jesus can do the same works he did: heal the sick and injured, multiply food, cast out evil spirits, and break through to the hardest hearts with the love of God/5().

Did they heal physical ailments. Raise from the dead. A: Thanks so much for your note to I was very interested in your question, as I had not known of these Biblical accounts of healing by Peter and Paul. As part of His discourse concerning the name of His church, Jesus declared, “ye know the things that ye must do in my church; for the works which ye have seen me do that shall ye also do; for that which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do” (3 Nephi ).Jesus followed this repeated injunction with a promised blessing: “Therefore, if ye do these things blessed are ye, for ye shall.

Some people may ask you why we need the Book of Mormon when we already have the Bible. In fact, Jesus Christ testified that this would happen (see 2 Nephi ).There are many reasons why the Book of Mormon is important in our day (for example, see 2 Nephi –11).Here are just a.

But if we are to respond to the “Come hither!” of Jesus, we must come with a contrite heart, grieved, broken, and on the narrow way (62), answering to the man who claimed to be God, but in no way met our expectations of God.

Some people struggle with the book of Job because, when they look at the life of Jesus, they can’t find anything in the ministry of Jesus that corresponds to Job’s story.

They decide, therefore, that they can’t find Jesus in the book of Job. But I think they’ve stopped just short. They should have gone a bit further and looked at His cross.

More books have been written about Jesus Christ than anyone else in history. What good books you have read about Jesus. Any genre -- theology, novels, biblical studies, historical, biographies, religious or secular, positive or negative, fiction or non-fiction. How do we know that it was James, the brother of Jesus, that wrote this letter we now refer to as the Book of James.

There are four men in the New Testament with the name James: There was an apostle named James, Son of Zebedee and Salome, and the brother of John. During my last message of the “Real Questions People Ask” series, I ended it by teaching about the Bible itself.

In the final moments of the message, I gave a quick tour. We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him.

Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the you truly believe and trust this in your. This is a book that seeks to be simply about the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

We Would See Jesus is somewhat of an amplification of The Calvary Road, which was published in and which God has been pleased to bless to many in various parts of the world. We believe that this book will be found to carry on from where the other left off.

Now we don't know exactly how it's going to be fulfilled, but we know that the Lord has prophesied it. When we consider the extent of Christian scripture and when we get to the new testament, we see that actually that seed, which will come from the woman, is Jesus Christ himself and Jesus Christ will bring about the demise of the serpent.

This film is a perfect introduction to Jesus through the Gospel of Luke. Jesus constantly surprises and confounds people, from His miraculous birth to His rise from the grave. Follow His life through excerpts from the Book of Luke, all the miracles, the teachings, and the passion.

God creates everything and loves mankind. But mankind disobeys God. God and mankind are separated, but God loves. Faith is much more than passive belief. We express our faith through action—by the way we live.

The Savior promised, “If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me” (Moroni ). Faith in Jesus Christ can motivate us to follow His perfect example (see John ). Did Jesus write any book in the Bible. There are two answers to this question, the faith answer and the empirical, analytical answer.

Either is correct, depending upon your religious stance. The faith answer states that the Bible is the Word of Go. How do we know the Bible is the Word of God. First, we must read it to determine if its facts are accurate.

For example, the Book of Mormon claims people were called Christians in about 73 BC (Alma ), nearly 70 years before Jesus Christ was even born in Bethlehem. Encounters with Jesus: Unexpected Answers to Life’s Biggest Questions Timothy Keller (Penguin Books) $ We have referred to this often at BookNotes – it is a compact sized paperback (like his book on idolatry, on the one on justice, or the one on preaching) and it packs a wallop more than you might think.

It is a lovely, winsome, but. This book answers the skeptic's question "Where is the Law used evangelistically in the Bible?" Available at: Jesus is Coming Soon God Showed Me in a Dream - Duration: As Luke tells the story of Jesus' earthly ministry in the Gospel of Luke and the story of Jesus' heavenly ministry through the Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts, he comes back to this question again and again, "What should we [I] do?" This is THE question Luke wants all of us to ask.

There’s an abundance of corroborating archaeological e. We identify ourselves as an evangelistic people, but for the most part, we rely upon dynamic personalities to lead people to Christ. It’s very striking to see Jesus relating to people.

He has good news to share and is going to proclaim it to people. Likewise, we are to be people with a message that we can clearly and boldly : Tim Challies.
